The Unforgotten Haven has teamed up with Chews United Methodist Church for a Cookies for Charity project.
Anyone is welcome to volunteer but the project is geared to children and people with disabilities. They make cookies once per month and the cookies will go to the homeless and senior citizens. They are also collecting cookie mixes (dry in package or cut and bake) to support this project.
The next Cookies for Charity baking event will take place on Saturday, August 12 from 10 am – 12 noon. Kids, teens, and adult volunteers will mix, bake, & bag hundreds of cookies which will be distributed to men & women experiencing homelessness in Camden or Philadelphia.
