Swim Lessons at Future Fitness Begin Jan. 11th

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for infants and young children between the ages of 1-4.

Infant Swimming ResourceInfant Swimming Resource, founded in 1966, has a team of nearly 450 highly trained  instructors provides the safest and most effective survival swimming lessons available. The ISR Self-Rescue® instruction our students receive today is the product of over 45 years of research and achieves unparalleled results.  They are guided by the mission: “Not One More Child Drowns.”

Infant Swim Resources

ISR goes beyond traditional swimming instruction by teaching children skills to potentially save themselves if they find themselves in the water alone.

Infant Swimming Resource  provides survival swimming lessons for children 6 months to 6 years old and ISR classes are now available in Mullica Hill!   The ISR Self-Rescue™ program will give your child the competence, confidence and skills of aquatic safety.  What your child will learn depends on his or her age and developmental readiness, but in all cases, at minimum, your child will learn to roll onto his or her back to float, rest, and breathe, and to maintain this position until help arrives.

Upcoming Sessions

  • The Mullica Hill Future Fitness sessions begin January 11, 2016 with instructor Dawn Tapscott.
  • To register for classes in Mullica Hill please contact Dawn at 407 221-6062 or email d.tapscott@infantswim.com.

Survival Swimming Lessons

Infant Swimming Resource  provides survival swimming lessons for  children ages 6 months to 6 years old.  Students are taught one-on-one with a certified ISR instructor and lessons are customized to the individual child.

Infants 6 Months – 1 Year learn the Rollback-to-Float Program which teaches breath control, correct floating posture and the skills to attain and maintain a backfloat.  Click on the image below to watch a video of the Roll-Back-to-Float sequence.

ISR

Children at least 1 year old are taught to swim with their face in the water and eyes open.  They roll over onto their back to breath and then rotate back to their stomach to continue swimming to safety at the edge of the pool.

Testimonial from a Local Mom

Sharon Maffei’s son Luca took survival swim lessons and she can’t say enough about the program:

“I am so grateful for this program and the instructors as my son fell into the deep end of our pool at the end of the summer.  He got right into his float.  Luckily we were right there when it happened and were able to witness him do what he was trained to do.  I can’t say enough about this incredible program!  My son took traditional swim lessons at 8 months but ISR has taught him how to survive in the water as well as swim.”
