Free Creative Movement Class for Two Year Olds

Swedesboro Performing Arts Academy invites your little one to experience something new this summer that’s designed just for them!

Their Creative Movement class is designed especially for two year olds and uses games, imaginative props and expressive movement to introduce their youngest students to styles of movement.  The class focuses on building confidence, listening and friendship skills, rhythm and the beginning techniques of dance movement.

Stacey and Mike of SPAA know that the Creative Movement class is many children’s first experience in a class setting, independent from their parents.  With that in mind, they provide a safe, family atmospherewhere the children can feel at home and comfortable with their parents nearby, yet participate in a class in a structured group environment.  Parents can take a few minutes to relax and observe via closed circuit tv while their child plays, grows and learns.

Parents can be confident that their little ones are in loving, skilled, nurturing hands.  All of the SPAA instructors are degree certified and are top industry professionals, trained in early childhood development.

Here’s what some local parents are saying about this great class:

My daughter just lights up when it’s “dance day”! We both just love it here. Such a warm family environment, Ms. Stacey and Mr. Mike make everyone feel right at home! The little kids are allowed to be kids here….being energetic and creative is encouraged! It’s just perfect for our sweet, but spunky, little girl!”  – Valerie

I love the way my children always feel at home here. Ms Stacey and her husband Michael know everyone by name and love the children for who they are.”   – Kristin

decade in review

Swedesboro Performing Arts Academy, “SPAA,” is proud to announce that it will host its 2016 Season Showcase at the beautiful Toscano Performing Arts Center at Clearview Regional High School, 625 Breakneck Rd. in Mullica Hill.  The show times are Saturday June 25th, at 7p.m. and Sunday, June 26th, at 2p.m.  All members of the public are welcome, and encouraged, to attend the Showcase.

SPAA’s Showcases are fun for the whole family, and include performances of Dance, Music, and Theatre, in a revue style show.  From piano players who tap dance to young dancers accompanying experienced singers, these kids and teens really know how to entertain!

This year in celebration of their fifth anniversary, the 2016 Season Showcase will explore  “A Decade in Revue: 1981 – 1989.”  The family-friendly material will appeal to all ages, especially those who fondly remember the eighties!  As always, the show will end with a big patriotic finale.

spaa 3Swedesboro Performing Arts Academy Mission:

Through professional training in Dance, Music and Theatre we guide young people on their path to becoming well rounded, self confident, independent young artists. By instilling a sense of perseverance in their craft, we help students to develop self-discipline, personal excellence, and technical perfection. We believe that by learning to express themselves outwardly through the performing arts, children with varying needs are able to look within themselves to find the best person they can be. Swedesboro Performing Arts Academy is equally dedicated to providing a safe community establishment for artists and their families to gather, share, and celebrate the performing arts.”
