Antique Car Show, BBQ & Concert on the Hill ~ Sept. 8th

The Mullica Hill Business Association will present the Annual Antique Car Show and BBQ followed by a Concert on the Hill for Second Saturday on September 8th.

Head over to the OKKA Karate Studio on Main Street for great food, fabulous cars from the early 20th century through 2017.  Various locations along Main St. will host a Fun Fest with lots of family fun.

The event runs from noon until 7pm and will be followed by a Concert on the Hill with live music from an awesome Tribute Band.

Second Saturday Festival on the Hill ~ Sept. 10th

The next Second Saturday in Mullica Hill features four events in one!  Join your friends and neighbors on Main Street for a final send-off to summer on Saturday, September 10th.

Concert on the Hill

There will be live entertainment from 1:00- 3:00 p.m. and local singers/songwriters Mike and Shanna will perform a concert of their original music on the front porch at 41 S Main St. from 4-6:30 p.m.

Chicken Bar-B-QRode's BBQ

A Chicken Barbecue, catered by Rodes, will be held at 41 S. Main St. from 4-6 p.m. The meal is $15 and includes 1/2 Chicken, Macaroni & Cheese, Corn on the Cob, Roll & Butter and Iced tea or Lemonade.  Order yours in advance here.  Proceeds help fund Main Street events.

 

Antique Car ShowVintage Car Show

The annual Antiques Car Show begins at 10:00 a.m. on Main St. and will feature  antique cars and a DJ. Prizes will be awarded to best in show car.

Shopping

Vendors set up on the street. Shops will be open till 7 p.m., many with open house specials.  Stop by and help us welcome Peach Tree Antiques and Vintage Finds at 36 Main St. In the same location will be White Washed, a home furnishings shop offering a light take on painted antiques. Owners of Farm House Design recently purchased and renovated this shop and are opening White Washed. Stop in for refreshments and a drawing for gift certificate.

Pumpkin Fest, Civil War Weekend ~ Oct. 11th-12th

civilwar13Experience camp life at the Pumpkin Festival and Civil War Living History Weekend taking place this weekend in Mullica Hill. The festivities will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A Civil War reenactment will entertain and educate crowds about the Civil War Era at this two-day event. It will also feature a selection of weapons and medical displays, candle dipping and more. A free, guided lantern tour of the camps followed by a canon firing is also
planned. And live music will be performed by a Civil War band.

Crafters will be on-site and a selection of food will be available. There will also be free pony rides and pumpkin carving/painting available.

Kings Row will host a Barn Sale. The Gathering Room will celebrate 16 years of service.

Second Saturday Events ~ Sept. 12th

Saturday, Sept. 12th is Second Saturday in Mullica Hill.  Come out to Main St. to enjoy one of the last weekends of summer with your friends and neighbors. Here’s a rundown of the events that are planned for what is sure to be a fun-filled day!

The Antique Car Show:  Vintage Car Show

Over 40 antique cars from Backroad Cruisers will be on display from 12-5 p.m. behind Amazing Grace.  Prizes will be awarded for the best cars in the show.

Concert on the Hill:  

Bring your lawn chairs to enjoy a Free Concert by American Dreamers from 4:30-7 p.m. behind Sisters.

Rode’s Chicken BBQ:Rode's BBQ

Rode’s Chicken BBQ Dinner will be held behind Gathering Room Interiors at 41 S. Main St.  (right next door to the concert!) from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.  Tickets are $15 each and you can order online here to reserve your delicious dinner in advance.  Proceeds benefit the Mullica Hill Merchants Association and make future Second Saturday events possible.

Special Display:

The artifact from the World Trade Center recently acquired by Harrison Township will be on display at the Baptist Church throughout the Second Saturday events.

Second Saturday Mullica Hill ~ Aug. 9th

Second Saturday in Mullica Hill is August 9th.  From the Food & Farm Festival, Rode’s BBQ and concert for the adults to visits from Spiderman and Elsa for the kids, this is sure to be a great event.  Come up to Main St. to enjoy the beautiful day and experience all that Mullica Hill has to offer.

Food and Farm Festival 

Mullica Hill is lucky to be home to some of the best farmers markets and wineries in all of New Jersey and we’re in peak season for all of your favorite Jersey produce.  Local farms will be here with fresh fruits, vegetables and baked goods.  Plus, enjoy wine tastings from Heritage Vineyards and Wagonhouse Winery. Vendors will line Main St. and most shops will be open late.

Concert on the Hill – The Real Imposters

Bring your beach chairs or blankets and enjoy a summer evening listening to the live music of The Real Imposters. The free concert will take place at 39 S. Main St. from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the shaded backyard of Sisters Gifts and Jewelry.  This event is sponsored by Papernut, Glassboro Lumber and Kitchens and Nancy Kowalik for Keller Williams Real Estate.  

 

Real Imposters

 Meet Spiderman and Elsa from Frozen

Like all great Mullica Hill events, there’s fun for the kids as well as the adults.  As you stroll down Main St. you might recognize a couple of their favorite characters.  What’s more exciting to a little boy than fire trucks and superheroes? Spiderman himself will be at Harmony Fire Company at 2:00 p.m. for a meet and greet. Kids can also meet Elsa from Frozen at Mullica Hill Floral  from 2:00p.m. to 3:45.  Be sure to stay for her performance of “Let it Go” at 3:50 and let the kids sing along.

Rode’s Chicken BBQ Fundraiser

A limited number of walk-in dinners will be available from Rode’s Chicken BBQ.  For $15 you’ll get a half chicken, sides, cornbread and drinks.  All proceeds go to Main St. Mullica Hill.  To order yours ahead, call Diane at the Papernut at 856-223-9400.  Or, stop in to Gathering Room Interiors between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. and get two free tickets when you spend $100 or more.

Mullica Hill Fall Festival ~ Oct. 12th – 13th

Mullica Hill Fall Festival 2013The 2013 Fall Festival in Mullica Hill celebrates its 45th year!  

The 45th Annual Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12th  from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, October 13th from  10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Step back in time to the Civil War era as you experience life in a Civil War camp complete with a weapons display, baking on an open fire, candle dipping and live music performed by a Civil War band.  

The Union camp will be located behind Sisters Gift Shop at 39 s. Main St. and The Confederates will be behind Kings Row 46 N. Main Street.  Enjoy a lantern guided tour of each camp on Saturday evening.  

Charles H. Harrison, a local writer and historian, will be at The Front Porch Antiques to sign his book “No Longer Warriors” based on his Great-Grandfather’s experience at Gettysburg.   

Crafters, food and live music will add to the festivities.  Gathering Room Interiors will be feature Harry Potter Story Time on the Veranda, pumpkin painting and a Harvest Party in the back gardens. For a special treat, be sure to stop in Amelia’s Tea & Holly for scones and tea.  

 

 

Second Saturday Mullica Hill Family Fun Day ~ May 11th

Second Saturdays are  back in Mullica Hill!   The season kicks off with Family Fun Day on Saturday, MaySecond Saturday Mullica Hill 11th from 12 – 7 p.m.  Bring the whole family to Main Street to enjoy shopping, crafts, music and food. 

This Second Saturday features lots of entertainment for the kids: 

  • Stop by Sisters for the Bounce House and free crafts. 
  • At Gathering Room Interiors, kids can enjoy Story Time with the Mad Hatter from 1 – 4 p.m. and an Alice in Wonderland Tea party!
  • Don’t miss the Face Painter, too!

And, there’s fun for the grown-ups too, like plenty of crafters and even an Old Fashioned Flea Market at Kings Row.
