Treat yourself and your loved ones to some educational entertainment before the year is over while visiting some of the area’s most popular sights by bus! The Harrison Township Recreation Commission has organized a bus trip to Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster, Pa., where a production of “Joseph” will be performed next month. Subsequent excursions to destinations such as New York City and Maryland are also planned.
Learn about the power of God’s forgiveness as a cast of all ages take the stage to bring the inspiring story of “Joseph” to life, Oct. 12. Township bus departs Ella Harrison Park (across from McDonalds) at 9 a.m. and will return at 7 p.m. Tickets are $90 for adults and $45 for children ages 3 through 12. Show time is 11 a.m. Transportation, show admission, dinner and shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village is included. Food and drink are not permitted on the bus.
Tour the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City, Nov. 6. Dinner at Mastoris in Bordentown, N.J. is also planned. Charter bus will leave from Ella Harris Park (across from McDonalds) at 9 a.m. and return at 8:30 p.m. Transportation, timed-admission ticket into the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, as well as dinner at Mastoris is included. No coffee is permitted on bus – water and dry snacks only. No one under 12 permitted. Tickets are $100 for adults; $90 for seniors and veterans, as well as children ages 12 to 17. Tickets for college students (with ID) are $95 and $75 (with ID) for active or retired military personnel.
Take a charter-bus ride to New York City to visit the tree at Rockefeller Center, Dec. 7. Bus No. 1 includes transportation, orchestra-seating for a show at Radio City Music Hall. Show time is 5 p.m. Cost is $110. Bus No. 2 includes transportation to New York City and a day to shop and sightsee for $50. No coffee is permitted on bus – water and dry snacks only.
Christmas on the Potomac will be at Gaylord National Resort in Maryland, Dec. 29. More than two million lights will be on display. A performance of “ICE” will also be presented. It will include a new theme, featuring Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town!” There will also be a Gingerbread Decorating Corner, The Elf on the Shelf® Scavenger Hunt and more.
Charter bus will depart at 10:30 a.m. from Ella Harris Park (across from McDonalds) and return at approximately 10:30 p.m. No coffee permitted on bus – water and dry snacks only. The trip includes transportation and admission to “ICE” as well as a ride through Festival of Lights at Watkins Park. Dinner will be on your own. Adults, $76; children (11 and under) $68.
