Music Together Classes

Friends Fine and Performing Community Art School announces the Spring 2013 session of their Music Together Classes.

Classes are on Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. and the session runs from Feb. 28 through May 9. (no class on March 28.)

Music Together ClassesMusic Together® is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the adults who love them.  Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical.  All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning.

By emphasizing actual music experiences rather than concepts about music, Music Together introduces children to the pleasures of making music instead of passively receiving it from CD’s or TV.

For more information about Music Together classes or to register your child, contact David Dickerman at 856.478.2908  x126 or via email at ddickerman@friendsmh.org.

Well Rounded vs. Super Star: Is One Better?

Well Rounded KidsFree Event at Friends School Mullica Hill

Thursday, October 25th at 7pm.

Seemingly, gone are the days where we were told to encourage our children to be well-rounded. Instead, the trend seems to be to encourage our children to be stand-outs in one area such as in a particular sport, with a particular instrument or with an off-beat skill. What happened to the ideal of raising a well-rounded child?

Jayne Gandy

Jayne Gandy, M.Ed., is a Mullica Hill mom, triathlete and college and university placement specialist for Bennett School Placement Worldwide.  She will explore this hot topic ~ all are welcome.
