Civil War Living History Weekend & Fall Festival ~ Oct. 8th-9th

The 2016 Civil War Living History Weekend and Mullica Hill Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8th  from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, October 8th from  10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is the 47th year for this popular annual event.

Step back in time to the Civil War era as you experience life in a Civil War camp complete with a weapons display, baking on an open fire, candle dipping and live music performed by a Civil War band.

Crafters, food and live music will add to the festivities.  For the little ones there will be Face Painting, Pumpkin Decorating, Pony rides.

Charles H. Harrison, a local writer and historian, will be at The Front Porch Antiques to sign his book “No Longer Warriors” based on his Great-Grandfather’s experience at Gettysburg.  The book was  produced as a play and performed on stage by a professional theater company. It is the story of wounded soldiers who experiences terror and miracles in a house on the battlefield as the fighting rages around them.

Pumpkin Fest, Civil War Weekend ~ Oct. 11th-12th

civilwar13Experience camp life at the Pumpkin Festival and Civil War Living History Weekend taking place this weekend in Mullica Hill. The festivities will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A Civil War reenactment will entertain and educate crowds about the Civil War Era at this two-day event. It will also feature a selection of weapons and medical displays, candle dipping and more. A free, guided lantern tour of the camps followed by a canon firing is also
planned. And live music will be performed by a Civil War band.

Crafters will be on-site and a selection of food will be available. There will also be free pony rides and pumpkin carving/painting available.

Kings Row will host a Barn Sale. The Gathering Room will celebrate 16 years of service.

Mullica Hill Fall Festival 2013The 2013 Fall Festival in Mullica Hill celebrates its 45th year!  

The 45th Annual Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12th  from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, October 13th from  10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Step back in time to the Civil War era as you experience life in a Civil War camp complete with a weapons display, baking on an open fire, candle dipping and live music performed by a Civil War band.  

The Union camp will be located behind Sisters Gift Shop at 39 s. Main St. and The Confederates will be behind Kings Row 46 N. Main Street.  Enjoy a lantern guided tour of each camp on Saturday evening.

Fall Festival this Weekend – Schedule of Events

This weekend is jam packed with Fall Festivities in Mullica Hill!  Here’s a run-down of what’s going on…Be sure to get out to enjoy all that our town has to offer!

 44th Annual Fall Festival – 10/13 & 10/14,   10 am –  5 pm  on Main St.

Second SaturdaySecond Saturday – 10/13 on Main St.

Crafters, Food and Music will line the streets for this Second Saturday celebration.  Stop in to Amelia’s Tea & Holly for dessert and tea and sample award winning wines from Heritage Vineyards. Don’t miss the Grand Openings of two new shops – Kings Court and Vintage Home and visit Langmore Salon’s Breast Cancer Awareness Event for free pink nail polish, chalking and feathers.

Ghost WalkGhost Walk – Sat. 10/13, 6:30pm at blue plate

The Harrison Township Historical Society will take you on a guided walking tour of Mullica Hill’s haunted history.  This one hour tour walks past the historic  buildings along Main Street. Tickets are $5 per person and tours will depart from blue plate every 15 minutes beginning at 6:30pm.  Purchase your tickets in advance – they sell out quickly!   Click Here for details.

 

Build your Own Scarecrow – Sat. 10/13, 10am-2pm at The American Legion

The Mullica Hill Rotary’s annual Build A Scarecrow event is a great day of family fun! They supply all the materials and to make your scarecrow.  Just bring a camera to capture the fun and take home your new friend to display proudly!  The cost is $25 and all proceeds benefit the Mullica Hill Rotary charities. (Rain Date 10/14)

 

Vintage Car ShowVintage Car Show – Sat. 10/13, 9am-12:30pm at Susquehanna Bank

Car enthusiasts won’t want to miss this annual car show.  The show will benefit Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity and will feature hot dogs, drinks and door prizes.
