Coombs’ Barnyard Egg and Veggie Hunt ~ April 8th & 15th

What better way to celebrate Spring than to get outdoors and enjoy some fun on the farm? Coombs’ Barnyard on Route 77 in Elmer has fabulous  springtime activities for the whole family!

Come on out to celebrate the season with their Egg and Veggie Hunt on Saturday, April 8th and 15th from 10am – 4pm (rain date April 9th)

Egg and Veggie Hunt

This unique experience includes  fun for the whole family:

  • Egg and Veggie Hunt
  • Hayrides  (departing every 30 minutes – last ride leaves at 3pm)
  • Visit with the Easter Bunny
  • Barnyard Animals

The cost for all of the above is  $10 per child and $5 per adult.  Kids under 2 are free!

Harrison Township Easter Egg Hunt ~ April 8th

The Annual Harrison Township Easter Egg Hunt is planned for Saturday, April 8th  at 11:00 a.m. at the William Wilt Soccer Complex on Walters Rd. in Mullica Hill.  (Rain Date:  April 9th at 1:00 p.m.)


Bring your Easter Baskets to gather the eggs.  The children will be divided by age group with each group hunting for eggs one at a time so that parents can accompany children to their designated areas.

Bring your best Easter Smiles and grab a photo opp with the Bunny before or after the Egg Hunt!

Dr. Seuss Celebration ~ March 2nd

Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday with the Harrison Township PTA on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley School.

This annual celebration is FREE and it’s going to be LOTS of fun!  Dress up with a friend as Thing 1 and Thing 2!  All you need are blue wings and red jumpsuits.  All costumes must be in good taste and in accordance with our District’s STARS program and dress code.  There will be prizes for the TOP 3 costumes.

Multiple stations will be set-up thought PVS (cafetorium, library, music room, etc.) and each student will rotate through the stations with the group they are assigned to.Rotating Dr. Seuss themed stations include:

  • Science
  • Reading/Literacy
  • Eating
  • Technology and more

Students MUST be accompanied by their supervising adult as they rotate through the stations.  The PTA is committed to making this event fun and exciting for each person participating and cannot do this without your assistance and support.

To attend this event you MUST sign up in advance on the PTA website:  Space is limited to the first 180 students.

Designer Bag Bingo ~ March 10th

mk bagThe Clearview Regional High School PTO will host its 4th annual Designer Bag Bingo event on Friday, March 10th to support Project Prom.  Come out to try your luck at bags from Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Coach and more.  There will also be a 50/50 raffle and basket auction.

The event will be held at the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit Church, 2 Lamplighter Lane in Woodstown. Doors open at 5:30pm and BINGO will be played from 7-10pm.  Must be 18 or over to play.

Tickets are $35 each and count as a tax deductible donation.  Table reservations are also available for groups of 8 or more.

Groundhog Day Dinner ~ Feb 4th

Harrison Township Historical Society’s 13th Annual Groundhog Day Dinner and Silent Auction is set for Saturday, February 4, at 6 pm, at the Ewan Fire Hall, 312 Ewan Rd.GHD14.7

This annual event features “Down Jersey” sausage links, sausage gravy and biscuits, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, candied yams, fried apples, green beans, and a dessert buffet.  

“The menu entrée is a play on words,” said Society president, Suzanne Grasso.  “We serve sausage –  the ‘ground’ hog – to celebrate the holiday.”

The dinner is a fun-filled evening for the entire family.  In addition to the home-cooked menu, the program includes an emcee decked out in tails and top hat, a popular silent auction and perhaps the only opportunity in South Jersey to sing Groundhog Day songs.

Tickets for the event are $15 and available at the Amazing Grace Resource Center, 46 South Main St., Mullica Hill (856-478-9800), on-line at the Society’s website (, and at the door.  Advance purchase is recommended since seating is limited.

All proceeds benefit the Society’s exhibitions and educational programs at the Old Town Hall Museum, located at the intersection of S. Main St. and Woodstown Rd. in the heart of the Mullica Hill Historic District.  

Valentine BINGO ~ February 16th

The Harrison Twp Recreation Dept. will sponsor Valentine BINGO at the Pleasant Valley School on Thursday, February 16th from 6:00-8:00p.m.  This event is fun for the whole family and a great way to kick off the long President’s Day weekend.

Admission and BINGO are FREE and refreshments will be provided.  Families are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the local food bank.

Lights on Main ~ Nov. 26th

The Mullica Hill event that’s been voted Best of Gloucester County for the past three years in a row is back and better than ever!  Lights on Main – a celebration of the Christmas Season will be held on November 26th from 6pm to 10pm on Main St.  Admission is free for all and it’s a great way to enjoy visiting with friends and neighbors while kicking off the season and getting in the holiday spirit!


Enter the Lights on Main Christmas Trivia Giveaway for some festive fun and a chance to win a gift card for a delicious night of Main Street dining.

The highlight of Lights on Main is the annual Tree Lighting.  Gather in front of the Historical Society to watch as the giant tree is lit, signaling the start of the holiday season.  After the Tree Lighting, step inside Old Town Hall to warm up with some apple cider and holiday cookies.

Gingerbread Man decorating, sponsored by Harrison Township Recreation Commission, is just one of the fun-filled activities available at this year’s Lights on Main!  Kids can also visit the Mullica Hill Art Center for some fun holiday crafting!

Hop on the Christmas train at Folwell & Main St. for a relaxing ride up and down Main Street.  Or, sit back, relax and experience horse-drawn carriage rides.

There will be plenty of vendors offering food and refreshments up and down the street and your favorite shops and restaurants will be open late.

Holy Tomato Too will be hosting an early bird special on North Main Street – stop in before 6pm – and you can also stop by blueplate for some Holiday Cheer!

Clearview Holiday Craft Fair ~ Dec. 3rd

The Annual Clearview Holiday Craft Fair will be held at Clearview High School on Saturday, December 3rd.


Stop by to check out the selection of terrific holiday decorations, hair accessories and other items.  Great for gifts – (or for yourself!)

Proceeds support the Clearview Marching Band.


Halloween Pancake Breakfast ~ Oct. 29th

Kick-off Halloween Weekend at Clearview High School for their Halloween Pancake Breakfast from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00  p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29th


This all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast includes Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Pumpkin Pancakes, Traditional Pancakes and Gluten Free Pancakes as well as fruit, muffins and cookies.  Crafts, face painting and Halloween games for the kids are also included in the ticket price.

Come in your costumes – there will also be a Costume Contest at 10:30 a.m.

Harrison Twp Halloween Parade ~ Oct. 29th

The annual Harrison Township Halloween Parade is Saturday, October 29th (rain date Oct. 30th) from 11am to 3pm at Ella Harris Park. This fun-filled fall event includes hayrides and costume and pumpkin contests and in addition to the parade:


Pumpkin Decorating Contest: winners will be awarded by age group in two categories:Pumpkin Contest

  • Carved, stenciled or free-hand (please bring from home)
  • Painted (bring from home or paint in park -adults included)

Halloween Costume Contest:  winners will be awarded by age group
