Designer Bag BINGO ~ Nov. 19th

Kingsway Regional Band Boosters (KRBB) will host a Designer Bag BINGO event on Saturday, Nov. 19th to benefit the Kingsway Regional bagHS Marching Band.

The event will be held at St. Michael’s Social Club, 114 Giammarino Ave. in Gibbstown.   Doors open at 6pm and BINGO begins at 7pm.

Your $35 ticket donation includes 10 BINGO games (cards included), coffee, tea, soda and dessert.  Hoagies can be pre-ordered as well.  Be sure to bring some extra cash for the Basket Raffle, 50/50 and Cash Bar.  (Outside alcohol is not permitted)

Harmony Fire Company Pancake Breakfast ~ Oct. 16th

The Harmony Fire Company will host a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, October 16th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Harmony Fire House, 4 S. Main St. in Mullica Hill.

2016 Mullica Hill Ghost Walk ~ Oct. 8th

It’s Baaack!   The Harrison Township Historical Society ‘s annual Mullica Hill Ghost Walk will be held on Saturday, October 8th from 6:30-11:30p.m.  The 1 1/2 hour guided tours depart every ten minutes from outside the blueplate restaurant at 47 S. Main St.  This ever popular tour showcases Mullica Hill’s haunted history as guests are guided through historic houses and public buildings on Main Street.

Ghost WalkThe Jersey Unique Minds Paranormal Society (JUMPS) will conduct an investigation in blueplate’s basement, the starting location of the tour. Before your tour departs will be able to view a live video feed from the infrared camera. Doug Hogate Jr. will also be doing a live broadcast of his paranormal radio show “Paradelphia.”

Both blueplate and Naples will be serving food during the event.  Naples will host a special Ghost Walk all-you-can-eat buffet.  View the menu here.

Civil War Living History Weekend & Fall Festival ~ Oct. 8th-9th

The 2016 Civil War Living History Weekend and Mullica Hill Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8th  from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, October 8th from  10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is the 47th year for this popular annual event.

Step back in time to the Civil War era as you experience life in a Civil War camp complete with a weapons display, baking on an open fire, candle dipping and live music performed by a Civil War band.

Crafters, food and live music will add to the festivities.  For the little ones there will be Face Painting, Pumpkin Decorating, Pony rides.

Charles H. Harrison, a local writer and historian, will be at The Front Porch Antiques to sign his book “No Longer Warriors” based on his Great-Grandfather’s experience at Gettysburg.  The book was  produced as a play and performed on stage by a professional theater company. It is the story of wounded soldiers who experiences terror and miracles in a house on the battlefield as the fighting rages around them.

This semi-annual event sponsored by the Harrison Twp Recreation Commission will be held on Saturday, October 1 from 8am – 1pm at Ella Harris Park.  (Rain Date – Oct. 2nd)

If you’re like most of us your garage and basement are full of things that you should have gotten rid of long ago…baby gear, old toys, furniture or home goods that you know you’ll never use again.  This is the perfect opportunity get organized and earn some extra cash.  Or, come on out to bargain hunt and find some treasures!

Second Saturday Festival on the Hill ~ Sept. 10th

There will be live entertainment from 1:00- 3:00 p.m. and local singers/songwriters Mike and Shanna will perform a concert of their original music on the front porch at 41 S Main St. from 4-6:30 p.m.

A Chicken Barbecue, catered by Rodes, will be held at 41 S. Main St. from 4-6 p.m. The meal is $15 and includes 1/2 Chicken, Macaroni & Cheese, Corn on the Cob, Roll & Butter and Iced tea or Lemonade.  Order yours in advance here.  Proceeds help fund Main Street events.

The annual Antiques Car Show begins at 10:00 a.m. on Main St. and will feature  antique cars and a DJ. Prizes will be awarded to best in show car.

Vendors set up on the street. Shops will be open till 7 p.m., many with open house specials.  Stop by and help us welcome Peach Tree Antiques and Vintage Finds at 36 Main St. In the same location will be White Washed, a home furnishings shop offering a light take on painted antiques. Owners of Farm House Design recently purchased and renovated this shop and are opening White Washed. Stop in for refreshments and a drawing for gift certificate.

2016 Gloucester County 4H Fair ~ July 28th – 31st

The annual Gloucester County 4H Fair and NJ Peach Festival  will take place Thursday through Sunday, July 28-31  at the Gloucester County Fair Grounds – 275 Bridgeton Pike, Mullica Hill.  4H1

The fair proceeds go to the programs, facilities, and services that benefit 4-H children throughout the year.

The fair will be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  Horse shows start at 8 a.m. each day. Admission is free, but there is a $10 parking donation per carload, good for all four days.

  • Exhibits: Visitors are invited to celebrate the accomplishments of 4‑H children who have worked throughout the year Alan-with-cowon a variety of programs. 
  • Shows: Enjoy the agricultural exhibits and contests for which the fair is known including the horse shows, Rabbit Shows, Dog Shows, Dairy Show, Sheep Show, Poultry show, Goat Show, Hog Shows and Annual Hog and Lamb Auction
  • Activities: The fair will also feature daily rides and games, magic shows, musical acts, baby parades, and craft exhibits, demonstrations and sales—lots of fun for the whole family!

  • Performers and Entertainment:  The main stage features a wide variety of free entertainment.  All 4-days are filled with a performers – from bands, singers, children oriented acts and dance troupes.

Flick ‘n Float Free Movie Night ~ Aug. 5th

The Harrison Township Recreation Department and Raccoon Valley Swim Club invite you to enjoy a Flick ‘n Float event on Friday August 5th.Flick N Float

All are welcome to watch Pan at Raccoon Valley while sitting poolside – or floating in the pool! The movie will begin at dusk.  In the event of rain, the movie night will be rescheduled for Saturday, August 6th.

5th Annual SPAA Season Showcase ~ June 25th-26th

Swedesboro Performing Arts Academy, “SPAA,” is proud to announce that it will host its 2016 Season Showcase at the beautiful Toscano Performing Arts Center at Clearview Regional High School, 625 Breakneck Rd. in Mullica Hill.  The show times are Saturday June 25th, at 7p.m. and Sunday, June 26th, at 2p.m.  All members of the public are welcome, and encouraged, to attend the Showcase.

SPAA’s Showcases are fun for the whole family, and include performances of Dance, Music, and Theatre, in a revue style show.  From piano players who tap dance to young dancers accompanying experienced singers, these kids and teens really know how to entertain!

This year in celebration of their fifth anniversary, the 2016 Season Showcase will explore  “A Decade in Revue: 1981 – 1989.”  The family-friendly material will appeal to all ages, especially those who fondly remember the eighties!  As always, the show will end with a big patriotic finale.

June Festival of Antiques ~ June 11th

We all know Mullica Hill is known for its antiques, but how many of us have actually gone “antiquing”?  The 10th annual June Festival of Antiques at the Gloucester County 4-H Fairgrounds is the perfect opportunity!

This annual event, presented by the Yellow Garage Antiques, will be held on Saturday, June 11th from 10am to 4pm, rain or shine.  Over 100 exhibitors are expected including antique dealers from throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and many other states.  Among the highlights from last years festival were decorative stoneware, glassware, pottery, quilts, dolls, jewelry, folk art and furniture.
